Account & License Management
May I transfer my EA Token to a different trading account?
Yes. If you switch broker accounts or want to move your setup to a new MT4/MT5 account, you can do so at any time. Remove the EA from your old account, attach it to the new one, and the system will detect and update the link automatically. If anything doesn't update correctly, our support team can manually reassign it for you.
How can I manage my automations?
Log in to ChartsConnect and under the Dashboard you can see a summary of all your automations. To manage them, click into the Destination to configure them. Alternatively, you can also go to Sources or Destinations to manage where your signals come from and where they are sent (e.g. MT4/MT5 accounts or Telegram).
How does the expiration date work?
Your plan renews on the same date each billing cycle. As long as payment goes through, everything continues without interruption. If a payment fails or you cancel, you can update your payment methods under Settings > Subscriptions. ChartsConnect may restrict platform access or suspend active tools and automations if an overdue balance remains unpaid.
What happens to existing positions when I connect my broker?
Nothing changes on your existing trades. ChartsConnect only manages positions that are created through your automations and manual trades after connecting the Expert Advisor (EA), if you allow the EA to manage manual trades. Any trades you've already opened manually before installing the EA will not be managed.
Can I trade my IRA or business account?
Yes — you can connect any MT4/MT5 account type that your broker supports, including individual, joint, corporate, and certain retirement accounts. Keep in mind that some brokers apply special rules to these account types, so it's worth checking with your broker directly before connecting.
Does ChartsConnect manage margin or margin rules?
No. ChartsConnect sends trade instructions but does not manage your leverage, margin, or risk exposure. Your broker enforces all margin rules based on your account type, instrument, and local regulations. You are responsible for making sure your account has sufficient margin to support your strategy's trades.
Can I use multiple broker accounts simultaneously?
Yes, depending on your plan. Advance and Professional plans allow you to run multiple MT4/MT5 accounts at the same time, each with its own strategy configuration. This is ideal for traders who want to diversify across brokers or run separate strategies on separate accounts.
Can the trading accounts be on separate PCs?
Absolutely. Your MT4/MT5 terminals can run on different computers, VPS environments, or a mix of both. As long as each terminal has the ChartsConnect EA installed, a valid licence linked, and a stable internet connection, they'll all work independently and simultaneously.
Do I need to leave TradingView or Chrome open?
No. TradingView alerts are processed by ChartsConnect's servers in the cloud — your browser doesn't need to stay open. The only thing that needs to stay running is your MT4/MT5 terminal, which is why a VPS is recommended for uninterrupted trading.
